Ticket #2549: Windows LDAP often not happy with LOGON_NETWORK authentication

We've occasionally noticed that Windows LDAP/Domain servers don't seem particularly happy with LOGON_NETWORK authentication. Given that it's considered the "faster" method, we should leave it in place, but provide for a config option to skip it permanently if needed.
